Governor Hobbs Lands Major Bipartisan Win That Will Create Jobs, Build Businesses, and Secure Arizona’s Economic Future
Yesterday, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs landed a major bipartisan win with the legislature that advances Proposition 400, which will allow residents of Maricopa County to vote to “continue 20 years of funding for road and other transportation improvements.”
The bipartisan legislation, which was a top priority for Gov. Hobbs, is critical to securing the economic future of Arizona by investing in local infrastructure and creating more opportunity for businesses and workers.
Gov. Hobbs stated: “These critical infrastructure investments will build and attract businesses and make Arizona the best place to live, work, and raise a family. I am glad we were able to put politics aside and do what is right for Arizona. Together, we will build an Arizona for everyone.”
Despite an unhinged rant against the bipartisan legislation, even Kari Lake admitted it was a “huge legislative victory” for Gov. Hobbs.
Gov. Hobbs also notched key wins for Arizona this year by working with both parties to deliver a budget that “helps move Arizona forward, especially in the crucial areas of public education, housing and aid for homeless people,” according to an editorial from the Arizona Republic that also highlighted her commitment to working across the aisle.
