Gov. Quinn stops in Huntley to celebrate new interchange
Gov. Pat Quinn arrived in Huntley to help the village usher in a brighter future Monday, with the official groundbreaking for a full interchange at Route 47 and the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway.
The project, which has been nearly 20 years in the making, and is well under way, is expected to spur economic interest in Huntley and 390 jobs related to the construction alone.
“I’m glad today is clear and sunny, because that exactly describes what this project is all about,” Quinn said. “It’s all about jobs. We have to have, inIllinois, an attitude that we’re going to focus in on economic growth and jobs for everybody in every region and every county.”
