Gov. JB Pritzker Announces Massive Tax Relief Package in Annual State of the State and Budget Address

In his annual State of the State and budget address yesterday, Gov. JB Pritzker touted his leadership throughout the pandemic, highlighted his record of restorative justice and combating climate change, and announced a near $1 billion tax relief package that will keep hard-earned money in Illinoisans’ pockets.

  • Chicago Tribune: “Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker delivered a reelection year state spending plan Wednesday, touting his efforts to bring stability to the state’s finances and offering voters a near $1 billion package of temporary tax relief while warning that Republicans vowing to take back Illinois would return the state to budgetary chaos.”
