“Good Job,” “Working for Hoosiers”: Mike Braun Spent Last Week Defending Indiana’s Near-Total Abortion Ban
Last week, Mike Braun spent his time in back-to-back debates defending Indiana’s extreme and deeply unpopular abortion ban, claiming that it’s “working for Hoosiers” and that he thinks that Indiana Republicans “did a good job.”

Previously, Braun claimed that Indiana Republicans “got it right” on the state’s abortion ban, and he’s indicated that he would go even further by supportinglegislation to criminalize pharmacists who dispense abortion medication.
In contrast, Democratic nominee Jennifer McCormick shined in the debates by defending reproductive freedom, calling out Braun for claiming the abortion ban is “working” for Hoosiers when “we already have women dying in Indiana” as a result.
“Mike Braun is not shy about the fact that he would absolutely defend and enforce Indiana’s dangerous abortion ban. In fact, he’s even threatened to go further by pledging to support legislation to criminalize pharmacists along with women and doctors,” said DGA National Press Secretary Devon Cruz. “Hoosiers deserve a governor who is committed to protecting and expanding their reproductive freedom, and that’s exactly what Jenniffer McCormick would do as governor.”
