Geoff Diehl Endorsed by Radical Anti-Choice Group

Radical anti-abortion group Mass Citizens for Life just announced it’s endorsing Massachusetts GOP candidate for governor Geoff Diehl. Diehl actively courted the endorsement and has a longtime history of cozying up to the extreme anti-choice organization.

Mass Citizens for Life frequently harasses patients outside of Planned Parenthood health centers and when Roe v. Wade was overturned, the group praised the decision, saying, “our work is just beginning…” They also supported the ballot initiative to end the insurance coverage mandate in MA and opposed legislation to expand access to reproductive health care.

The extreme group has endorsed Geoff Diehl many times before. Diehl praised the overturning of Roe v. Wade and would push for restrictions to abortion in Massachusetts. Diehl also recently campaigned alongside anti-abortion extremist Kristi Noem, who supports banning abortion without exceptions for rape or incest, and believes a 10-year-old child abuse victim should be forced to give birth.

“The GOP candidates for governor continue to remind voters that if elected, they’ll restrict reproductive health care access in MA,” said DGA Deputy Press Secretary Maddy Pawlak. “No matter who wins the primary, reproductive freedoms aren’t safe in Massachusetts if a Republican is elected governor. The GOP candidates’ extreme stance on choice is out of touch, dangerous, and wrong for the Commonwealth.”
