Galloway Puts Parson on His Heels in Sole Missouri Gubernatorial Debate
State Auditor Nicole Galloway today dominated the only scheduled Missouri gubernatorial debate of the cycle, putting GOP Gov. Mike Parson on the defensive for his failed leadership.
Throughout the debate, Nicole Galloway kept the focus on how Parson has repeatedly put partisan politics and Jefferson City insiders ahead of Missouri families. Galloway highlighted Parson’s attempts to strip health care away from Missourians, even in the midst of a pandemic, including kicking 100,00 kids off their insurance, his refusal to take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously, and his corrupt ties to lobbyists that have even led to investigations by members of his own party.
Parson, who, along with his allies, has become increasingly more desperate, hurled the same lies that led to his allies’ attack ad being taken off the air. A recent poll showed Galloway neck and neck with Parson heading into November.
“Mike Parson has failed Missouri families again and again, and today’s debate highlighted the greatest hits of his disastrous record,” said DGA Deputy Communications Director Christina Amestoy. “Parson refuses to take the deadly COVID-19 pandemic seriously, has shown he’s ready and willing to take health care away from Missouri’s most vulnerable, and repeatedly puts his insider buddies ahead of working families. Missourians are fed up and ready for a new way. Nicole Galloway will fight for Missouri families, their health care, and their future.”
