Donald Trump This Morning: Rick Jackson Won By Being “TRUMP”
Jackson Campaigned as “Trump’s Favorite Governor,” said He “Couldn’t Name A Single White House Policy He Disagrees With”
Today, Donald Trump lavished praise on Rick Jackson’s ultra-MAGA campaign for governor, writing on Truth Social that Jackson “campaigned on being ‘TRUMP’” and that he “can’t wait” for Rick Jackson’s campaign to get started.

This comes as Rick Jackson has strongly indicated throughout his campaign that he will fight for Trump over what’s best for Georgians.
- Jackson “said he couldn’t name a single White House policy he disagrees with,” according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
- Jackson has repeatedly told voters that he will be “Trump’s favorite governor” and that he will be “Trump with a Southern tone.”
- In an April 27 debate, Jackson shared that he wants to run Georgia’s economy “just like Trump,” even as the president continues to admit that he “loves the inflation” that is jacking up costs on Georgians everywhere.
- Jackson continues to support the very same Trump policies that are hurting Georgians, even admitting earlier this year that he supports cost-raising tariffs because he made money off them, and that he supports the Big Beautiful Bill because it lowered his own taxes.
“Rick Jackson has repeatedly said that he is running to be Trump’s favorite governor – those are his words,” said DGA spokesperson Kevin Donohoe. “Rick Jackson has said himself that he couldn’t name a single Trump policy he disagrees with, while Trump’s policies raise costs and take away health care for Georgians. Now, even Donald Trump admits that Rick Jackson is just like Trump, and Georgia will reject his extreme cost-raising agenda in November.”
