DGA Chair Gov. Phil Murphy released the following statement on the results of the Wisconsin Supreme Court race:

“Congratulations to Judge Janet Protasiewicz on her win in this deeply important Wisconsin Supreme Court election. This victory is not only a big win for reproductive rights and our democracy, but also a clear message that MAGA candidates who want to strip away our freedoms with extreme bans and attack free and fair elections are going to continue to pay the price at the ballot box. 

“The DGA and Democratic governors like Gov. Tony Evers have proven we can win in swing states across the country by standing up against dangerous efforts to turn back the clock – and this race is the latest proof that fundamental rights will only be protected if we all invest more time, energy and resources into ensuring anti-freedom agendas are rejected up and down the ballot.”
