DGA Communications Director Sam Newton released the following statement on Patrick Morrisey winning the GOP primary for West Virginia governor:
“West Virginia’s GOP primary was an expensive, chaotic mess dominated by the dangerous extremism and divisive politics that now defines the Republican Party across the entire country. Patrick Morrisey’s focus on toxic culture wars and right-wing extremism has left West Virginians with a Republican nominee who has no real solutions for the biggest issues hurting the state’s working families. West Virginia deserves better.”
