DGA Statement on Vermont Primary Results 

DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to Vermont’s primary results for the race for governor:

“Congratulations to Esther Charlestin on winning Vermont’s Democratic nomination for governor. An educator, working mom, and former selectboard member, Esther will fight for Vermont families, students, and public schools. In contrast, Gov. Phil Scott continues to stand in the way of progress on important issues like the state’s ever-increasing cost of housing that is pricing Vermont families out of homes, increasing the minimum wage, paid family leave, and addressing the toll of climate change across the state. Vermont deserves better.”
