DGA Communications Director Sam Newton released the following statement on Gov. Spencer Cox being nominated for reelection in the Utah governor’s race:
“Utah’s GOP primary was yet another example of the toxic stronghold that MAGA extremism has on the Republican Party nationwide. Gov. Spencer Cox faced an extreme conspiracy theorist, who won the endorsement of the state’s GOP convention over Cox, which only further proves how far-right the GOP continues lurching. As Gov. Cox attempts to earn the support of extremists in his party, we look forward to holding him accountable for his record of failures between now and November.”
