DGA Statement on Trump Voter Fraud Commission

Connecticut Governor and DGA Chair Dan Malloy released the following statement on President Trump’s executive order creating a commission to investigate voter fraud:

“President Trump’s commission is a massive waste of taxpayer dollars on a fringe witch hunt. President Trump is following a path blazed by some Republican governors who have repeatedly put up barriers to stop Americans from casting lawful votes. Our American democracy depends on more people having legal access to the ballot box– and that’s exactly what Democratic governors around the country are fighting for. President Trump’s commission to investigate his own baseless voter fraud claims is nothing more than a smokescreen to disenfranchise Americans.”
