DGA Statement on Trump DeSantis Rally
Today, the Democratic Governors Association released the following statement from Deputy Communications Director David Turner on Congressman Ron DeSantis’ rally with Donald Trump less than a month before the gubernatorial primary:
“No matter what happens at tonight’s rally, we know what Ron DeSantis stands for — Donald Trump and the Trump agenda. DeSantis is the latest Trump wannabe catering to the fringe far-right while everyday Floridians wait to hear a real plan for Florida. Cheap slogans and distractions won’t cover up DeSantis’ support for Trump’s tax giveaways to the rich and cuts to affordable health care. Both Adam Putnam and DeSantis are Trump sycophants committed to bringing the worst of Trump’s policies to Florida, and Floridians won’t stand for it. ”
