DGA Statement on Tom Wolf’s Nomination for Reelection in Pennsylvania

 

Today, Washington Gov. and DGA Chair Jay Inslee released the following statement on Governor Tom Wolf’s nomination for reelection in Pennsylvania:

“Congratulations to my friend Governor Tom Wolf for earning the Democratic nomination on his way to winning another term as governor of Pennsylvania,” said Inslee. “Governor Wolf is a committed fighter for the people of Pennsylvania, taking on the special interests and working to clean up Harrisburg. Over the last three years, Governor Wolf has restored funding for schools, expanded health care coverage for over 720,000 Pennsylvanians, and is creating an economy that works for all Pennsylvanians.

 

“Governor Wolf is also a national model of how Democratic governors can lead the way to unrig gerrymandered maps. Earlier this year, the governor put a stop to a Republican gerrymandering scheme and ensured that Pennsylvania gets fairer maps going forward. Governor Wolf is making real progress for the Keystone state and I fully expect voters in Pennsylvania to reward him with another term as governor.”
