Today, 2023 DGA Chair and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy released the following statement on Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee’s inauguration:

“Congratulations to Gov. Dan McKee on his inauguration as governor of Rhode Island. Today marks the start of four more years of progress and fighting for the working families of Rhode Island. 

“With Gov. McKee’s historic investments in local businesses and infrastructure, the Rhode Island economy has grown, and thousands of jobs have been created. He has expanded access to education, protected civil liberties and reproductive freedom, and taken action against climate change. 

“In the next four years, the DGA looks forward to more progress and success, continuing to deliver on Gov. Dan McKee’s goals and working for a better future for Rhode Island.”
