Today, 2023 DGA Chair and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy released the following statement on Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s inauguration:

“Congratulations to Gov. Josh Shapiro on his inauguration as governor of Pennsylvania. 

“Gov. Shapiro made history by winning the governor’s race by the largest margin for a non-incumbent since 1946. He did that by showing up everywhere and focusing not only on protecting freedoms, but addressing the biggest issues impacting the everyday lives of working families. 

“Gov. Shapiro will work with anyone to create economic opportunity, keep families safe, and protect fundamental rights. The DGA looks forward to continuing working with Gov. Shapiro as he delivers for the people of Pennsylvania in his new administration.”
