Today, 2023 DGA Chair and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy released the following statement on Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek’s inauguration:

“Congratulations to Gov. Tina Kotek on her inauguration as governor of Oregon and making history as one of two women serving as the nation’s first openly lesbian governors in American history. Gov. Kotek is ready to tackle the state’s biggest problems — from creating more economic opportunities for workers to tackling homelessness to mitigating the effects of climate change.  

“Oregon deserves a governor that will fight for the best interests of the working families, and under Gov. Tina Kotek’s administration, the DGA looks forward to another four years of progress.”
