Today, 2023 DGA Chair and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy released the following statement on Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker’s inauguration:

“Congratulations to Gov. JB Pritzker on his inauguration to his second term as Illinois governor. 

“In his first term, Gov. Pritzker delivered real results for Illinois families — expanding access to affordable health care, making historic investments in education and infrastructure, and getting the state back on sound fiscal footing. He has proven himself an effective leader, guiding Illinois through unprecedented public health and economic crises while tackling the state’s biggest long-term challenges.

“With his swearing-in today, Gov. Pritzker will continue his crucial work defending democracy, protecting reproductive freedoms, and building a more affordable Illinois. We congratulate Gov. JB Pritzker on his inauguration and look forward to supporting him through his second term as governor.”
