DGA Statement On the Primary Elections in Nebraska

Today, DGA Executive Director Elisabeth Pearson released the following statement on the nominations of state Senator Bob Krist and Governor Pete Ricketts in Nebraska:

“Congratulations to Senator Bob Krist on becoming the Democratic nominee for governor of Nebraska,” said Pearson. “A former Air Force pilot, Bob Krist has lived a life of service to the people of Nebraska. As governor, he will be an independent voice, who can cut through the partisan divide to get state government working again. Meanwhile, Governor Ricketts’ record of sluggish economic growth and stagnant wages is hurting Nebraska families. It’s time for fresh leadership in Lincoln.”
