DGA Statement on the Primary Elections in Arkansas
Today, Democratic Governors Association Executive Director Elisabeth Pearson released the following statement on the nominations of Jared Henderson and Gov. Asa Hutchinson for governor in Arkansas:
“Congratulations to Jared Henderson on becoming the Democratic nominee for governor of Arkansas,”said Pearson. “As someone who has devoted his career building a stronger economy and better schools, Jared has the vision and expertise to improve outcomes for students in Arkansas. Jared has a laid forth an innovative plan to unleash economic growth across all parts of the state. Under Asa Hutchinson, schools haven’t received the support they deserve and the state’s rural economy has flatlined. Arkansas needs fresh leadership and new ideas, and Jared is the right man for the job.”
