DGA Statement on the GOP Primary for Governor of Kentucky
WASHINGTON, DC — In response to Matt Bevin’s primary election victory today, the Democratic Governors Association re-released the following statement from Josh Holmes, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s former chief of staff, regarding Bevin:
“It’s abundantly clear that his guiding light is to embrace whatever gets himself a little further down the road,” Holmes said. “If somehow Matt Bevin got into the governor’s mansion his only agenda would be the commissioning of his portrait.” – [Louisville Courier-Journal, 5/6/15]
