DGA STATEMENT ON THE GEORGIA REPUBLICAN GUBERNATORIAL DEBATE

Today, Democratic Governors Association spokesperson Kevin Donohoe released the following statement on today’s Republican gubernatorial debate in Georgia hosted by the Atlanta Press Club:

“We’ve never been more optimistic about winning the Georgia governor’s race. This debate was a disaster for Republicans. Burt Jones and Rick Jackson both accused each other of breaking the law and enriching themselves off of taxpayer money. When they weren’t fighting each other, they were sucking up to Donald Trump and talking about how they would take away reproductive health care. Whether it’s Jones or Jackson, they’re both self-serving out-of-touch rich guys who Georgians can’t trust to be their next governor. Game on.”
