DGA Statement on the Georgia General Election
WASHINGTON, DC – Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin, Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, issued the following statement regarding the general election in Georgia:
“Jason Carter ran a campaign built on the idea that Georgia and its families can do better under new and dynamic leadership. He focused on building a stronger economy for the middle class, an honest and ethical state government, and world-class schools that prepare our children for the jobs of tomorrow. While he came up short tonight, Jason is a strong leader with an incredibly bright future.”
