DGA Statement on Stacey Abrams’ Primary Victory in Georgia

Today, Democratic Governors Association Chair Gov. Jay Inslee (D-WA) and Vice Chair Gov. Gina Raimondo (D-RI) released the following statements on Stacey Abrams’ primary victory in Georgia:
“Congratulations to Stacey Abrams on her primary victory in Georgia,” said Inslee. “Stacey has a clear plan to build an inclusive economy in Georgia that works for everyone. As governor, she will invest in schools, fight for better health care, and create jobs of the 21^st century. Stacey possesses the unique combination of experience, talent, and vision necessary to lead Georgia at this important time.” 
“Stacey Abrams is the right choice to lead Georgia forward and expand opportunity for all Georgians,” said Raimondo, who is the first female governor of Rhode Island. “Stacey Abrams’ historic candidacy is a great example of strong and diverse female candidates for governor across the country.
