DGA Statement On Snyder Campaign Ads
WASHINGTON, DC—Democratic Governors Association Communications Director Danny Kanner today issued the following statement regarding Michigan Governor Rick Snyder’s decision to air television ads 14 months before the 2014 election:
“Rick Snyder’s decision to air television ads 14 months before an election confirms that his record of rewarding the wealthiest and well-connected at the expense of Michigan’s seniors, students, and working families leaves him dangerously vulnerable to defeat. While Snyder has used his office to deliver a $1.8 billion corporate tax giveaway to his buddies with deep cuts to education and a tax on hard-earned pensions, Mark Schauer has spent his career fighting for Michigan’s middle class. That’s why voters will make Rick Snyder a ‘one-term nerd’ next November.”
