DGA spokesperson Izzi Levy released the following statement in response to Scott Jensen running for governor in Minnesota:
“Minnesota’s GOP gubernatorial primary is shaping up to be yet another messy and divisive affair, and failed candidate Scott Jensen is just the latest underwhelming, out-of-touch candidate to throw his hat in the ring. Jensen brings to this race a disastrous and disqualifying record of supporting a massive tax hike on working families, pushing extreme conspiracy theories, and supporting a dangerous abortion ban without exceptions for rape or incest.
“Meanwhile, Governor Tim Walz has taken on the biggest issues facing working families: cutting taxes, lowering costs, and making historic investments in public education and infrastructure. That’s exactly the type of leadership Minnesotans will want to stick with, not an extremist who wants to drag the state backwards.”
