DGA Statement on Republican Primary in New York

Today, Democratic Governors Association Executive Director Elisabeth Pearson released the following statement on Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro’s gubernatorial nomination in New York:
“Marc Molinaro is little more than a mini-Trump who would bring Donald Trump’s disastrous policies to New York. Molinaro backed Trump’s tax scam that burdened everyday New Yorkers. Molinaro has opposed expanded access to women’s health care, voted against marriage equality in 2011, and said he was “not particularly” a fan of the Affordable Care Act. New Yorkers need a bulldog to stand up to Donald Trump, and Marc Molinaro would be a lapdog.”
