In response to Rep. Randy Feenstra voting to pass a toxic budget bill that makes even deeper cuts to Medicaid and SNAP in order to give tax handouts to the ultra-wealthy, DGA spokesperson Izzi Levy released the following statement:
“Today, Randy Feenstra voted to sell out hardworking Iowans with his support for a toxic budget bill that threatens health care for nearly 115,000 people, puts food assistance for over 250,000 on the chopping block, and devastates Iowa’s farmers, small businesses, and rural hospitals — all to pay for tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy. Iowans can’t afford Feenstra’s extreme agenda that hurts families and sends costs surging even higher, and no matter how many tall tales he tells, Iowa voters will remember this betrayal and reject him at the ballot box.”
