DGA Communications Director Sam Newton released the following statement in response to Rep. Randy Feenstra running for governor in Iowa:
“Randy Feenstra’s entrance into the Iowa governor’s race throws the already wide-open, crowded, and expensive GOP primary field into more chaos. Feenstra has spent his time in Congress as a rubber stamp for extreme partisan policies, like pushing to overturn Roe v. Wade, voting to gut Medicaid, and proposing major cuts to public education. Just like all the other GOP candidates, the bottom line is he would continue the same failed policies of the last decade of disastrous Republican leadership, where Iowans have seen an extreme abortion ban, a failing economy, underfunded schools, and widespread government corruption. Iowans deserve change.”
