In response to Rep. Andy Biggs voting to pass a toxic budget bill that makes even deeper cuts to Medicaid and SNAP in order to give tax handouts to the ultra-wealthy, DGA Communications Director Sam Newton released the following statement:
“Today, Andy Biggs utterly failed Arizonans by voting to pass Donald Trump’s disastrous budget bill that would kick more than 365,000 people off their health insurance, threaten food assistance for over 900,000, and will devastate rural hospitals — all to pay for tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy. Meanwhile, Karrin Taylor Robson cheered on this harmful and unpopular plan that would rip health care away from Arizonans.
“While Biggs and Robson continue to attack each other in their ongoing GOP primary, there’s no doubt they both agree on this massive betrayal of working families — and we won’t let voters forget it.”
