DGA Statement on President-elect Joe Biden’s Victory
Democratic Governors Association Chair New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and Vice-Chair New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham released the following statement on President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ victory:
“Congratulations to President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on their historic victory. This victory is a win for all Americans.
“President-elect Biden will bring dignity, humility, and science-driven leadership back to the White House at a time when our country desperately needs it. We look forward to helping the Biden Administration reverse the harmful policies of the Trump era, and make progress on access to affordable, quality health care, public education, and an economy that works for everyone. Together, we can ensure that progress made at the federal level toward a brighter future is strengthened at the state level.
“Democratic governors look forward to having a partner in the White House again. President-elect Biden sees us not as red or blue states, but as the United States. He will work with all governors to combat the pandemic, unite the country, and build a future that is brighter for all.
