DGA Statement on Pete Snyder’s Decision to Enter the Virginia Governor’s Race
DGA Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement after Republican Pete Snyder announced his candidacy in Virginia’s race for governor:
“Pete Snyder is a right-wing extremist and Trump apologist who thinks he can buy the governor’s mansion, but he is out of touch with Virginians’ values. Snyder’s vehement opposition to affordable health care policies including the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid expansion would put Virginians’ lives at risk, especially during one of the worst public health crises in history. Despite multiple tragedies like the Virginia Beach shooting, he repeatedly refuses to support gun violence prevention, doing nothing to stop them from happening again. And he wants to pull precious resources away from Virginia public school students and teachers at a time when they need help.
