DGA Statement on Oregon’s First Gubernatorial Debate
DGA Deputy Communications Director Sam Newton released the following statement after Oregon’s first gubernatorial debate today:
“The first debate of the general election once again made it clear that Tina Kotek has the record, values, and vision to make Oregon a better, safer, and more affordable place to live. She has real plans to solve the biggest issues facing Oregon families, from tackling homelessness and addiction to protecting the environment and standing up to the NRA to end gun violence.
“Meanwhile, it sounded like there were two right-wing Republicans on the stage, as Christine Drazan and Betsy Johnson tried to run to the right of each other on blocking lifesaving gun safety measures and refusing to address climate change.”
