DGA Statement on Oregon Republican Primary

Tonight, DGA Executive Director Elisabeth Pearson released the following statement on the Republican gubernatorial primary in Oregon:

“Despite vastly outspending his rivals, Republican Knute Buehler struggled to make it out of Oregon’s ‘street fight’ of a primary,” said Pearson. “He now heads into the general election badly bruised and facing a steep uphill battle. Throughout his career in office, Knute Buehler has shown that he can’t be trusted. And this primary season, his craven attempts to cover up his real record and agenda were exposed on critical issues ranging from women’s health to gun violence prevention. Meanwhile, Oregonians know they can count on Governor Kate Brown to always have their backs and stand up for what’s right.”
