DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to Mike Mazzei becoming the Republican nominee for governor in Oklahoma:
“Mike Mazzei is an extreme and self-serving politician who is a card-carrying member of the out-of-touch political class that has failed Oklahoma families. Mazzei represents four more years of skyrocketing costs, wasteful spending, hospital closures, failing public schools, and an economy that works only for the few. As Governor, Mazzei would be a disaster: further cutting funding from public schools and making Oklahoma’s abortion ban, which has no exceptions for rape or incest, even more restrictive. Oklahoma can’t afford four years of Mike Mazzei.”
