DGA Statement on New MAGA California Recall Effort
Today, Democratic Governors Association Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement on the recall attempt in California:
“After failing miserably the first time, MAGA extremists in California have launched another shameless attempt at a partisan power grab and are attacking Gov. Gavin Newsom for leading the fight to help defend democracy, protect abortion rights, tackle climate change and deliver on the biggest issues facing working families.”
“The DGA is committed to supporting Gov. Newsom and reminding voters of the big, bold wins he has delivered for California, while defending fundamental freedoms like the right to choose and the right to vote. Just like the last time, GOP extremists have signed themselves up for what will be a massive waste of time, energy, and resources that ultimately fails.”
