DGA Statement on New Jersey’s GOP Primary Results
DGA Senior Communications Advisor Izzi Levy released the following statement in response to Jack Ciattarelli becoming the Republican nominee for governor in New Jersey:
“Two-time loser Jack Ciattarelli has emerged from this bruising, messy, and expensive primary more damaged and out-of-touch than he began. In a transparently self-serving and political move, Ciattarelli spent the past year and a half reinventing himself by going all-in on Trump’s dangerous agenda to gut public education, raise costs on working families, and bring Washington’s chaos to New Jersey.
“Ciattarelli’s about-face to unequivocally embrace Donald Trump and his refusal to stand up to his party’s extreme, costly, and unpopular agenda are too extreme for New Jersey — and serve as proof that he can’t be trusted as governor. Between now and November, we will make sure voters remember why they rejected his last two statewide bids.”

-
Ciattarelli defended Trump’s attacks on key USDA programs that support New Jersey’s farmers and kids.
