DGA Statement on New Hampshire GOP Primary Results
DGA Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement on Gov. Chris Sununu’s primary victory:
“The Trump/Sununu agenda is a betrayal of Granite Staters. Chris Sununu puts Republican party politics, special interest groups, and the wealthy ahead of hardworking New Hampshire families and small businesses. Even in the midst of a pandemic, Sununu has prioritized his political ambitions over public health, allowing Trump to plan a dangerous potential superspreader rally in the state not once, but twice.
“Sununu has cheered on the Trump administration, even as the President fights to take away health care from thousands of Granite Staters during a pandemic. Sununu is standing in the way of progress in New Hampshire. He has used his veto power to deny Granite Staters paid family leave, a real investment in education, and a minimum wage increase, all while accepting pay raises for himself.
“A self-proclaimed ‘Trump guy through and through,’ Chris Sununu has repeatedly shown that his priorities lie with his political career and partisan interests to the detriment of Granite Staters. We look forward to continuing to hold him accountable in the weeks ahead.”
