DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to Gov. Joe Lombardo becoming the Republican nominee for governor in Nevada:
“Joe Lombardo is the most vulnerable Republican governor in the country this cycle after spending his time in office as a rubber stamp for Trump’s cost-raising agenda. The Lombardo-Trump economy has driven tourism into the ground, shot unemployment sky-high, and crushed working families and small businesses who are struggling just to get by. Despite this, Lombardo thinks Nevadans deserve to ‘feel a little pain’ from Trump’s tariffs, backed plans to rip health care from 115,000 people, and continues to put his billionaire backers over hardworking Nevadans. Lombardo’s leadership has been a complete failure, and the DGA looks forward to making him a one-term governor this November.”
