DGA Statement on Nan Whaley Becoming the Democratic Nominee for Governor of Ohio
Tonight, DGA Chair North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper released the following statement on Nan Whaley’s primary victory in Ohio:
“Congratulations to Nan Whaley on her victory tonight in Ohio. As the mayor of Dayton, Nan led the city through some of its toughest challenges, and thanks to her strong and resilient leadership, Dayton emerged stronger after each obstacle.
“Nan’s experience fighting to create good-paying jobs, fix roads and bridges, and improve public schools makes her the strong and tested leader Ohio families need in their next governor. The DGA looks forward to supporting Nan Whaley as she continues to fight for equal opportunity for all Ohioans.”
