DGA Statement on Montana’s GOP Primary Results
DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to Gov. Greg Gianforte being nominated for reelection in the Montana governor’s race:
“Gov. Greg Gianforte has spent his first term selling out Montana and pushing an extreme agenda that makes the state a worse place to live for working families.
“Whether it’s blatantly flouting the will of the voters to pass dangerous and unconstitutional abortion restrictions, signing tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy while working families shoulder the burden of skyrocketing property tax bills, blocking bipartisan funding to protect public lands, or refusing to commit to protecting Medicaid for more than 100,000 Montanans, Gov. Gianforte has proven that Montanans cannot trust him to put them first. From now through November, we look forward to holding Gov. Greg Gianforte accountable for his failed record.”
