DGA Statement on Missouri’s GOP Primary Results

DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe becoming the Republican nominee for governor in Missouri:

“Lt. Gov. Kehoe is an extremist running on a dangerous agenda to rip away rights and hurt working families. His harmful agenda includes supporting the state’s current extreme abortion ban that does not allow for exceptions for rape or incest and attacking public education – all while Kehoe and his allies were forced to spend millions of dollars fending off attacks from Kehoe’s own party on his record of selling out Missouri farmland to the Chinese government. Kehoe has proven he’s too extreme to be Missouri’s next governor, and we will continue to remind voters of that now through November.”
