DGA Statement on Mississippi’s Gubernatorial Race
The Democratic Governors Association released the following statement regarding Mississippi’s gubernatorial race, following Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves’ campaign announcement today:
“Mississippi Republicans appear headed for a divisive and ugly primary this August with Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves and State Rep. Robert Foster already in the race,” said DGA Communications Director Jared Leopold. “Tate Reeves has major questions to answer for voters about why taxpayers funded a $2 million road to his private subdivision, while education remains underfunded. Tate Reeves has been a creature of the swamp in Jackson, and he will have to answer for his record this election.”
