DGA Statement on Mike Braun’s Entrance Into the Indiana GOP Primary for Governor
Today, Republican Senator Mike Braun announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Indiana governor.
Democratic Governors Association Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement:
“Just like he did in his business, Mike Braun went to the Senate and sold out Hoosier workers and families. He’s repeatedly opposed helping Indiana’s economy by rejecting bipartisan investments to fix roads and bridges, expand high-speed broadband, and bring American manufacturing home from China.
“Braun also confirmed that he’s running on an extreme platform of ripping up even more fundamental rights by voting against the Respect for Marriage Act just last night and has even said that states should be able to ban interracial marriage.
“These harmful and divisive policies are entirely out of touch with what Hoosiers need to get ahead, and there’s no doubt Mike Braun will make life worse for Indiana families if he’s elected governor.”
