DGA Chair North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper released the following statement in response to Attorney General Maura Healey’s primary victory in Massachusetts:

“Congratulations to Maura Healey on winning the Democratic nomination for Massachusetts governor. As attorney general, Maura took on the powerful special interests and won, standing up for the working families of Massachusetts. She’s the only candidate for governor who will protect abortion rights, bring people together, and expand opportunities for all.

“The DGA is proud to continue our support for Maura Healey as the next governor of Massachusetts.”
