DGA Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement on Mark Ronchetti winning the GOP primary for governor in New Mexico:
“Mark Ronchetti is an out-of-touch weatherman from Vermont who is completely unqualified to lead and oblivious to the biggest challenges facing New Mexicans.
“Ronchetti peddles extreme positions, from questioning the science on climate change — even as the state faces devastating wildfires — to anti-choice and anti-LGBTQ stances, while failing to propose any agenda to actually govern.
“New Mexico’s forecast is looking bright under Gov. Lujan Grisham, who continues to deliver for families by lowering taxes and cutting costs, delivering free college, and raising teacher pay.”
