DGA Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement on Kristi Noem winning the Republican gubernatorial primary in South Dakota:
“Kristi Noem is a self-dealing, corrupt leader who puts herself ahead of South Dakota families. While refusing to expand Medicaid to protect rural hospitals and provide life-saving care to thousands of South Dakotans, Noem has a troubling pattern of abusing her office to help her family. And just like with other failed Republican governors, the RGA had to spend $2 million to help Noem survive her primary. Kristi Noem’s failed leadership is dragging the state backward — South Dakotans deserve better.”
