DGA Statement on Kim Reynolds’ Divisive, Racist Ad

In response to Kim Reynolds’ latest campaign ad that blatantly uses harmful , racist stereotypes, DGA Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement:

“Kim Reynolds is resorting to racist dog whistles just to score political points. This blatant use of harmful stereotypes in her latest ad is completely unacceptable, particularly coming from the governor. 

“Iowans deserve a leader who will govern with respect and dignity. Deidre DeJear will focus on bringing people together in every corner of the state and getting results — not more dangerous and divisive rhetoric.”
