DGA Statement on Katie Hobbs Winning the Democratic Nomination for Governor of Arizona
DGA Chair North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper released the following statement in response to Secretary of State Katie Hobbs’ primary victory in Arizona:
“Congratulations to Secretary of State Katie Hobbs on winning the Democratic nomination for governor of Arizona. In the state legislature and as secretary of state, Katie has been a lifelong champion for every Arizonan — expanding health care for hundreds of thousands, clearing the rape kit backlog, and protecting voting rights. She knows what it takes to solve difficult challenges and she has a bold plan to lower costs for families by establishing a state-level child tax credit and exempting over-the-counter medicines and other essential products from sales tax.
