DGA Statement on Karl Dean’s Primary Victory in Tennessee
Tonight, Democratic Governors Association Chair Gov. Jay Inslee (D-WA) released the following statement about former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean’s primary victory in Tennessee:
“Congratulations to Karl Dean on his primary victory in Tennessee,” said Inslee. “Karl will build a great state the same way he rebuilt a great city. As mayor, Karl led Nashville through the Great Recession and oversaw its recovery after a historic flood. Karl’s pragmatic leadership helped create jobs and strengthen schools in Nashville; now he’ll use that experience to bring economic opportunity to every Tennessean. We look forward to working with Karl Dean to win this November and fight for a stronger economy and better schools as governor.”
